A model potential calculation for positron axial channeling from dislocation affected crystals
Description
The presence of defects in crystals affects the channeling radiation by obstruction effects and by distortion effects due to dislocations present in a diamond-like crystal. The channeling radiation frequencies ω have been analyzed analytically using additional forces, oscillation amplitude, and period of oscillation of channeled particles due to dislocation effects. An interatomic potential has been chosen which has a power-law type screening function. The fractional increase in ω Δω-f has been calculated and compared with values from previous theoretical work
