Study of the phase formation processes in the Fe-Sn system

  • 1. Inst. Yadernoj Fiziki, Almaty (Kazakhstan)

Description

In the work phase formation kinetics under isochronous annealing in high purity iron foils is studied. Samples have been annealed within temperature range 200-450 deg C with step 50 deg C for 10 hour at each step. After each annealing the Moessbauer absorption spectra have been read under room temperature. Fe(Rh) serves as the gamma resonance radiation source. Spectra were processed by the distribution function restoration for super-thin fields by the DISTRI code. Key Moessbauer spectra parameters were obtained. Also X-ray structural analysis shows presence of FeSn phase, and small existence of FeSn2 phase
