The analog of the Hawking effect in BECs

Description
The observation of the Hawking effect from black holes in the astrophysical context is unlikely. However, the analog of this effect is present in condensed matter systems. We focus on Bose-Einstein condensates, and on a proposal to detect it through correlation measurements. (paper)
