A spectrometer for charged particles of medium energies

Description
A charged particle spectrometer, which allows to measure electrons in the energy range 20 keV <= E <= 1000 keV, and protons and ions in the energy range 25 keV <= E <= 3000 keV with high time and directional resolution, will be described. The spectrometer is flying on the ISEE-B satellite. The sensor system will be described; data formation and operational modes will be described. (orig.)

Ein Teilchenspektrometer, das Elektronen im Energiebereich 20 keV <= E <= 1000 keV, Protonen und schwere Ionen im Energiebereich 25 keV <= E <= 3 MeV mit hoher Zeit- und Richtungsaufloesung zu messen gestattet, wird beschrieben. Das Spektrometer wurde auf dem Satelliten ISEE-B eingesetzt. Auf die Eigenschaften des Sensorsystems wird eingegangen; die Datengewinnung und die Betriebsweise werden erlaeutert. (orig.)
