Connection of high pressure emergency coolant replenishment of water-water nuclear reactor

Description

Preheating the coolant which is introduced into the primary coolant circuit following a nuclear power plant accident is designed. Preheating suppresses the possible heat shocks which may cause brittle fractures in the wall of the reactor vessel. Mixing heating is used which allows the relatively high increase in coolant temperature by cooling heat from the reactor and also immediately prior to its inflow into the primary coolant circuit. The design consists in the installation of injector mixers and heat exchangers at the ends of the respective tubes. The advantage of the design is its high efficiency and reliability, simple operation and easy implementation. (J.B.). 1 fig
