Intermediate mechanisms in the fission-like fragmentation of medium mass nuclear systems
Description
Experimental evidence of intermediate mechanisms in the fission-like fragmentation of medium mass nuclear systems is presented. The data are interpreted in terms of a diffusive relaxation process, assuming statistical nucleon exchange between the interacting nuclei to be the dominant dissipative mode. (orig.)
