Coulomb stripping in the reaction 52Cr (D.P.) 53Cr

Description

The 52Cr(d,p) 53Cr reaction has been studied in the sub-Coulomb deuteron energy range Esub(d)=2.12 - 2.48 MeV. Excitation functions and angular distributions were measured for the four most intensive proton groups leading to states in 53Cr with Esub(x) <= 2.32 MeV. The angular distributions averaged over the energy interval Esub(d) = 2.23 MeV were analysed in terms of DWBA plus isotopic compound-nucleus predictions. The spectroscopic strengths (2Jsub(f)+1)Ssub(lj) were extracted and compared with those extracted at higher energies
