Description
This paper presents a conceptual design of a steam methane reforming process for which the thermal energy is supplied by a high temperature gas cooled reactor. The paper presents the technical concepts of the process, preliminary economics, and development requirements for commercialization. The preliminary economics include capital and operating cost estimates as well as a breakeven analysis based on the price of replaced natural gas. (author)
