Description
Sodium is evaporated from hot (400-9000C) sodium pools into an inert gas atmosphere in the NALA experiments. Mixtures of Cs, NaI, SrO and UO2 simulate traces of fuel and fission products as can occur in a hypothetical SNR accident in the coolant sodium. Apart from the evaporation rate of the substrate itself, the whereabouts of these mixtures, whose release in the case of an accident is a source of radiological burden in the containment, is of interest. Bei den NALA-Experimenten wird Natrium aus heissen (400...9000C) Natrium-Lachen in eine Inertgasatmosphaere verdampft. Beimischungen von Cs, NaJ, SrO und UO2 simulieren Spuren von Brennstoff und Spaltprodukten, wie sie bei einem hypothetischen SNR-Stoerfall im Kuehlmittel Natrium vorhanden sein koennen. Neben der Verdunstungsrate des Substrates selber interessiert der Verbleib dieser Beimischungen, deren Freisetzung beim Stoerfall eine Quelle der radiologischen Belastung im Containment darstellt.
