Small angle neutron scattering measurements on ionic detergent solutions with rodlike micells

Description
Small angle neutron scattering (SANS) measurements have been carried out on aqueous solutions of Cetylpyridinium-Salicylate (CPySal). The data show the existence of rodlike micelles with the length L and the radius R. The radius R of 21.5 A is independent of the detergent concentration while the L-values increase with increasing concentration. For 10 mM solutions the micelles show considerable nearest neighbour order. (orig.)
