Microscopic calculation for the 16O nucleus making use of the pairing correlation operators in the hyperspherical basis

Description
A numerically precise calculation scheme is developed for light nuclei in the basis of the ground and all potential harmonics making use of the pairing correlation operators. All approximations are estimated. The P model is improved. Calculation for the 16O nucleus is carried out in the numerically precise scheme with different versions of realistic. NN interaction. The results are in good agreement with the bound-cluster model. It is shown that more precise calculation does not alter the conclusion that the binding energy and the radius of light nuclei with unique NN interaction cannot be simultaneously described
