Description

Nuclear Spectrum Analysis is one of the most important analytical methods in nuclear instrument, Nuclear spectrum measurement technique has been a hot research issue. This paper designs a set of system of digital nuclear spectrometer based on ADC + FPGA + ARM. The analog nuclear signal from detector system is processed by the circuit of signal conditioning, and sampled by high speed, high resolution ADC, then the digital nuclear signal is transmitted to digital nuclear signal processing system, which is built by FPGA and DSP to realize filter shaping, baseline restoration, pile-up recognition and amplitude extraction, after these processing, the nuclear pulse signal is processed by trapezoidal shaping. The energy spectrum is transmitted to the computer through USB interface to display, save and further processing. The X-ray energy spectrum of SiPIN detector and the X-ray energy spectrum of NaI detector can be obtained, the energy resolutions are respectively 178 eV (Fe) and 7.2% (Cs-137), the above results indicate that the system can be effectively achieve nuclear signal conditioning digital nuclear spectrometer system, high-speed acquisition and digital nuclear signal processing at the same time, it can get better test performance.
