Preliminary results on charm production and associated hadrons with J/psi in π-N scattering at 140-190 GeV/c

Some preliminary results on two types of charm production experiments are reported. The first type is the production of charm in association with the J/psi. The hadrons associated with μ+μ- pairs which are identified as J/psi have been observed. The second type is the direct production of charm; two kaons of opposite charge and one muon have been triggered, in order to select the K(nπ) and Kμν channels. The possibility of verifying the quark fusion model by studying the rapidity distribution of the hadrons associated with μ+μ- pairs is discussed
