Description
Benchmarks calculations were performed with the newest released japanese nuclear data library JENDL-3. The calculations were performed with the methodology developed at IPEN/CNEN-SP based on a coupled NJOY/AMPX-II/HAMMER-TECHNION system. The analyses show that the long-standing problem of the overprediction of the epithermal U-238 neutron capture still remains. Besides that there is an indication that the fission cross section of U-238 might be underestimated. (author)
