Description
The main construction and operating parameters are given of the A-1 reactor pressure vessel. The welding concept of the vessel is described in detail as are the factors affecting it. The technologies of welding, heat treatment and evaluation are described for all types of welded joints (the vessel has a total of 1429 welded joints). The chemical composition of the starting material and of the welded joints and their mechanical properties following heat treatment are tabulated. Quality control and permissible defects of the welded joints are discussed. (F.M.)
