On the tokamak longitudinal field simulation
Description
The problem of simulation of the tokamak longitudinal field by the limited coil number of the toroidal solenoid, which could create with the required degree of correspondence fields of the absent coils, is considered. The analysis of the discussed variants has shown that at the refusal from limitations on the cryostat sizes with the required accuracy the simulation of the longitudinal field is possible. For this aim 7-8 coils are necessary, the investigated one inclussively. This comprises 1/3 of their full number. At this the currents in the edge coils should be higher than in the middle ones. It is supposed that the superconductivity of the neighbour coils will not be disturbed. Taking into account the specific of the effecting forces, the last assumption, probably, should be experimentally tested. At the given cryostat parameters the required field simulation could not be reached due to the high current density in the neighbour coils. Although on the four coil bench some data can be obtained, which are very useful at the estimation of the access of the toroidal solenoid planned parameters
