Description
A mass deformed, supersymmetric, Yang-Mills quantum mechanics has been introduced recently as the matrix model of M-theory on plane-wave backgrounds. Here we point out that the massive matrix model can be obtained as a dimensional reduction of N=4, D=4 Super Yang-Mills theory on S3. The hamiltonian of the matrix model can be matched with the dilatation operator of the conformal field theory, and we discuss how they behave in the perturbative computations.
