Complex RNZ-1-code for computer simulation of neutron and gamma fields in empty channels of different types in the shield

Description

The algorithm and main characteristics of the RNZ-1 computer code developed for computer simulation of neutron and gamma fields in straight-line, curved and stepped hollow channels in the shield limited by the second order surfaces, are described. The code employs the concept of differential albedo and the Monte Carlo method, and is written in FORTRAN for the BESM-6 computer. The number of separate sections of the shiield may attain 25; maximum number of energy groups - 26. The calculation time of 1000 histories for gamma radiation is about 30 s, for neutrons - about 8 m. The examples of the practical application of the code in comparison with corresponding experimental data prove the validity of the code
