Description

Design and analysis of the steel structure of experimental power reactor (RDE) turbine building has been carried out. The purpose of the study was to obtain a model of RDE turbine building that meets the requirements in terms of the strength and capability of the structure in receiving loads during the construction and operation of the RDE turbine building. For this purpose, the design and modeling of the steel frame structure of the RDE turbine building has been carried out by referring to the strength of the structure according to SNI. Structural testing simulation is done using SAP2000 software, by variations of 10 load combinations. The main test parameters reviewed were structural strength and stiffness. The simulation results show that the structure meets the requirements of strength and stiffness according to SNI 1729: 2015 in accepting a combination of loads 1 through 10. This can be seen from the maximum stress capacity ratio value of 0.961 which is smaller than 1, and the maximum deflection that occurs at 16.61 mm which is much lower than the allowable deflection value of 75.00 mm.
