Very high energy gamma ray astronomy with ground based detectors
Description
Very high energy (VHE) gamma ray astronomy has now produced after many decades of searching the first high confidence observations of cosmic sources. A short survey of the physics targets in this field, the experimental techniques and some results are presented. Prospects for detector improvements and astrophysical discoveries are discussed.
