Description
Full text: A metal-organic polymer, TAPDA-FeSO4, was synthesized by means of reaction of TAPDA polymers with iron (II) sulfate, and characterized by elemental analysis, x-ray diffraction (XRD), high resolution transmission electron microscope (HRTEM), infra-red (IR) absorption spectra, electron spin resonance (ESR), Moessbauer spectra, and SQUID magnetization. A strong ESR signal was observed, indicating the existence of free radicals in the compound. The saturation and hysteresis phenomena of the DC magnetization were found at low temperature, demonstrating the ferromagnetism of the polymer. The results of the Moessbauer spectra, XRD, and HRTEM show that the ferromagnetic behavior of TAPDA is intrinsic
