Improved particle tracking system for two-phase measurement
Description
An improved particle tracking (PTV) system has been developed at the Texas A and M Department of Nuclear Engineering for making two-phase flow measurements. Improvements include a more powerful Nd:YAG pulsed laser, a new high-resolution digital camera, and updated particle tracking software. These improvements significantly enhance the quality and amount of turbulence data that can be captured during each experiment. With the improvements in turbulence data, more accurate two-phase turbulence models will be developed for use in computational fluid dynamics simulations
