Detection of neutrons and γ quanta under laboratory conditions using their separation by the scintillation pulse shape in the Cs I(Tl) crystal
Creators
Description
Results on separate detection of atmospheric neutrons and γ quanta under laboratory conditions by the scintillation crystal Cs I(Tl) are presented. The secondary products of neutron and γ quanta interaction with the crystal substance were identified by pulse shape in the Cs I(Tl). It is shown that due to the given methodology it is possible to separate the neutron flux (with energies of En > 20 MeV) of approximately 10-3 particles x cm-2 x s-1 on the background of the γ radiation , exceeding it by one order
