Influence of strong electrolytes on indium compounds with bromopyrogallol red

Influence of electrolytes on light absorption of solution of indium complex with bromopyrogallol red (BPR) is detected. It is established that the degree of influence depends on the nature both of the anion and the cation of the salt added. The composition is determined; electron absorption spectra of In complex with BPR in the absence and presence of electrolytes are studied; the method for dye coordination is supposed. Causes of salt influence on intensity of complex coloring are discussed; necessity to account this influence in photometric determination of In with BPR is shown
