Fission fragment angular distribution in photofission of 237Np

Description

A systematic study on photofission of odd-A nucleus near the fission threshold is of high interest to understand the transition state properties of the fissioning nuclei. With this aim, measurements on Bremsstrahlung gamma rays induced fission fragment angular distributions of 237Np have been carried out with the end point energy range of 7.4 MeV to 9.2 MeV in steps of 0.2 MeV using SSNTD as fission detectors at Microtron Center
