Object: To put a mark that may detect displacement in position between fuel assemblies to reduce error in signal. Structure: The device comprises a bundle of a plurality of fuel elements, a shroud which surrounds the outer peripheral surface of said bundle, a handling head positioned on said shroud, and discriminating marks and checking marks impressed on the upper end surface of said handling head, said discriminating marks having a single mark impressed to indicate a reference at the starting point thereof.
