Remarks on Coulomb effects in multiple-scattering theories

It is investigated the problem of introducing the Coulomb potential in Watson's multiple-scattering expansion: in particular they are formally analysed the implications for the optical potential and are discussed various approximations necessary in order to make practical calculations
