Physicochemical aspects of the action of volatile metal corrosion inhibitors

  • 1. A.N. Frumkin Institute of Physical Chemistry and Electrochemistry, Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow (Russian Federation)

Description

The state-of-the-art of investigations into the development and perfection of volatile corrosion inhibitors is analysed. The characteristic features of metal protection by these compounds and the effects of their chemical structures on the properties are discussed. The problems of adsorption and protective post-effect of volatile corrosion inhibitors are considered.
