Description

This work focuses on a study of the influence of N+ ion irradiation on crystallization behaviour of Fe81Mo8Cu1B10 amorphous ribbons. Samples in as quenched (amorphous) state were exposed to N+ ions beam with the energy of 130 keV and fluencies from 1016 to 1017 ions/cm2. Afterwards the samples were isothermally treated at 300 grad C. Nuclear Forward Scattering (NFS) of synchrotron radiation was used to follow the crystallization process in-situ. NFS time spectra that contain information on structural properties were acquired every minute during the heating process. The obtained data were analyzed using the CONUSS software package. An impact of ion irradiation on the progress of crystallization within the studied samples is reported. Different crystallization rates were observed for different ion fluencies. (authors)
