Description
In 1986 a ceramic superconducting compound with a transition temperature Tc exceeding 30 K was discovered. The study on the La-Ba-Cu-O system brought about a series of studies on similar compounds in which higher temperature superconductivity are observed. More recently Tc higher than 77 K is found in the Y-Ba-Cu-O system. In this paper, preliminary results on the effects of materials preparation and sintering on the superconductivity of Y-Ba-Cu-O system are presented
