Description
This paper discusses the determination that the Yucca Mountain site in Nevada is to be characterized to determine its suitability for construction of the first U.S. high-level nuclear waste repository. Work in connection with this site is examined. Various fabrication and closure methods are under consideration for the production of containers. This paper presents progress in identifying and evaluating the candidate manufacturing processes
