Baryon-exchange forces in SU(4) symmetry
Description
The SU(4) -invariant trilinear Yukawa-type interaction Lagrangian is derived in terms of the mixing parameter. The SU(4) crossing matrix is given; the single-baryon--exchange forces classified according to exact SU(4) irreducible representations are calculated, discussed, and compared with the SU(3) baryon-exchange forces; and the value of the mixing parameter is evaluated by the reciprocal bootstrap method. The preliminary results indicate that an SU(4) bootstrap model may yield a better mass spectrum for the charmless resonances than is obtained with SU(3) bootstrap models
