Theoretical transition probabilities for Au II

Description
Theoretical transition probabilities are reported for transitions between the lowest configurations in Au II, i.e. 5d10, 5d9 6s and 5d9 6p. The calculations employed the method of superposition of configurations in the basis of the transformed orbitals. The results are compared with experimental data, lifetimes of the 5d9 6p levels, based on beam-foil studies. (orig.)
