Description
A small crystal of Gd Ba 2 Cu 3 O 7-x was investigated at 79 K by means of the torque method. The results permitted the calculation of both the magnetization curves and rotational losses in different crystallographic directions. The threshold field for the losses which may be identified with the lower critical field H c1 was found to be 80 De (parallel to the c axis) and 20 Oe (perpendicular to the c axis), respectively
