Description
The use of different sorbents such as silicates, clays, sandstone etc. in the purification of low- and medium-level radioactive waters is studied. The results of laboratory testing of new sorbents are given. The problems connected with the incorporation of liquid wastes into bitumen and concrete are discussed. The techniques used in handling of solid wastes such as baling and incineration are described. The present methods of waste disposal are evaluated. (S.B)
