A simplified method for effective energy determination of X-radiation fields

Description

The possibility of application of the Tandem method was verified using a pair of parallel-plate ionization chambers, developed at IPEN, and differing only in their collecting electrode materials. They show therefore different energy dependences in their responses. This method allows the determination of the effective energy and the exposure rate in air of unknown X-radiation fields (low and intermediate energies). (author)
