Friction and wear of fluorineplastic-4 exposed to Co60 penetrating radiation

Given are the results of investigations into wear resistance and antifriction properties of fluoroplastic-4(F-4) specimens exposed in air to 60Co penetrating radiation of 10, 25, 50, 75 Mrad doses at a room temperature. A presumable conclusion is made, that active surface radicals of irradiated F-4 promote the formation on a counterface of a transferred polymer film, which reduces wear
