Analysis of RFX operation by complete simulation of the machine-supply system
- 1. Istituto Gas Ionizzati - Associazione EURATOM-CNR, Piazza Salvemini 13 - I 35131 Padova
Description
The RIPA program based in EMTP code, which allows the complete simulation of the RFX operation, including the interactions through the plasma between toroidal and poloidal circuits is described. Details are given on the structure of the program, with particular emphasis to the simulation of the plasma. Finally some examples of RIPA applications are presented and discussed, concerning in particular the ripple of the loop voltages due to the converters and the harmonic analysis of the current absorbed from the 400 kV AC grid during the RFX pulse
