Measurement of the magnetocaloric effect of UPt3 at the metamagnetic phase transition

Description
We present investigations of the magnetocaloric effect on the heavy fermion metamagnetic phase transition at Bc=20 T. We relate the results to measurements of the heat capacity in high magnetic fields and discuss a correlation between the metamagnetic phase transition and the susceptibility. (orig.)
