Stripping voltametry determination of lead, cadmium, and copper trace impurities in thioglycolic acid

Description

A method of stripping determination of microimpurities of lead, cadmium, and copper in thiglycolic acid is presented. Mercury-film on the silver substance nd chlorsilver electrodes were used as working and reference electrodes, respectively. A 0.1 M KCl solution was used as supporting electrolyte. The metal content was calculated by the peak height using the method of additives. THe microimpurities of Fe, Sn, Co, Ni, Mn, Cr, Zn, and As do not interfere with the determination. The method provide the determination of 1x10-6 % of Pb, Cd and Cu in thioglycolic acid. 6 refs.; 1 fig
