Roentgenodiagnosis of duodenal papillitis

The results of a combined roentgenoendoscopic study of 199 patients were analyzed. Inflammatory changes of mucosa of the major duodenal papilla (MDP) were detected in 123 patients. 76 persons with the unchanged MDP were entered into a control group in which normal MDP roentgenoanatomy was investigated during a double contrast study X-ray signs of papillitis and its complications were described. Data on the importance of a combined roentgenoendoscopic study of the duodenum were provided. The informative value of tubeless relaxation duodenography in the diagnosis of papillitis was studied.
