Problems of applying the reliability theory in the nuclear power plant situation

Creators

Description

Calculations of reliability indexes by valid standards proceed from the classical definition of reliability. In order to preclude incorrect results it is necessary to take into consideration the disjunction of individual failures as random phenomena. Demands placed on the calculation of reliability indexes may only exhaustively be fulfilled by a computation of conditioned probability of failures with an estimate of risk for unique products using the method of hypotheses testing.
