Description

The determination of the starting point for the pneumatic movement of the Irradiator Simulator has been carried out for the step of the tote movement on the irradiator simulator. The movement of the pneumatic cylinder on the irradiator frame on the Merah Putih gamma irradiator designed by isotop as a reference. Frame is a place to irradiate materials/products. This section is the framework of the structure of the tote movement process around the Co-60 gamma source which can accommodate 72 totes. The tote track consists of two levels. Each level has 4 paths. Rail components are provided for shifting the tote in one line. In order to maximize the movement of product transportation inside the frame, a sequence of pneumatic cylinder movements has been made that pushes the tote or pulls the tote from the product transport rack on the frame. There are 14 pneumatics installed, 6 even numbered pneumatics are installed on the bottom shelf, 6 odd numbered pneumatics mounted on the top rack, while the 2 pneumatics are mounted vertically. From the results of determining the starting point of this pneumatic movement, a sequence of pneumatic cylinder movements is produced, which is 9 steps, according to the design of the product transport mechanism system on the frame. Furthermore, the instrumentation system and control of the movement of the pneumatic cylinder will be made using PLC. (author)
