Dimers in photochemistry of f-elements
Description
Neptunium, cerium, plutonium, europium ions in solutions of acids and americium and cerium ions in deaerated carbonate media are oxidized or reduced under UV radiation action. Chemical reaction mechanism are proposed which includes such stages as adsorption of photon, formation of dimers by excited and unexcited ions, decomposition of dimers with formation of f-element ions in higher or lower valent states

Ионы нептуния, церия, плутония, европия в растворах кислот, а также ионы америция и церия в деаэрированных карбонатных средах под действием УФ света окисляются или восстанавливаются водой. Предложен механизм процесса, включающий стадии поглощения кванта света, образование возбужденным и невозбужденным ионами димера, распад димера с образованием иона f-элемента в более высокой или более низкой степени окисленияAdditional details
