Description

We study weak radiative and pionic decays of strange baryons in the framework of constituent quark model. We find that W-exchange two quark transitions dominate the radiative decays and a small single quark transition is necessary for Ξ- and Ω- decays. For the pionic decays, we employ a semidynamical scheme by considering weak spurion - quark (diquark) scattering process and derive new decay amplitude relations. (orig.)
