Temperature dependence of the positron annihilation in BaF2

Description
Three-photon annihilation and Doppler broadening of the annihilation line 511 KeV have been investigated for BaF2 single crystals gamma-irradiated at room temperature. The temperature dependence of annihilation characteristics has been studied for the temperature region 77-300 K. For low temperature irradiated samples an isochronal annealing has been carried out. The 80 K is considered to be due to the recombination of near-by members of Frenkel pairs
