Due to various reasons the production of devices for the determination of the volume activity of free atmospheric ions has recently been growing. These so-called ionometers can also be used for direct detection of alpha emitters, i.e., in a field where the choice of dosimetric instruments is not very wide. (author). 2 figs., 1 tab., 9 refs
