Different methods of optimization by computerized treatments in telecobaltherapy

Description
A set of programs through which an optimization of radiotherapeutic treatments by cobalt are possible is presented. This optimization consist in: either minimizing the integral dose delivered to the critical organs; or minimizing the differences between maximum and threshold doses in the tumoral volume, which results in an increase in the dose uniformity within the tumor. The program fournishes for each beam the correction within and without an angle quin. He points out the mean integral dose on the critical organs and the maximum deviation on the tumor, which permits a comparison between the two types of optimization
Abstract (French)
On presente un ensemble de programmes, qui permettent une optimisation des traitements radiotherapiques externes par cobalt, sous des contraintes donnees, au niveau du volume-cible, des volumes sensibles et des points d'entree. L'optimisation consiste au choix: soit a minimiser la dose integrale delivree aux organes sensibles; soit a minimiser les ecarts entre dose maximale et dose-seuil dans le volume tumoral, ce qui revient a homogeneiser la dose a l'interieur de la tumeur. L'optimisation est lineaire et la methode utilisee est celle du simplexe. Le programme fournit pour chaque faisceau la ponderation en absence et en presence d'un coin d'angle fixe. Il indique la dose integrale moyenne aux organes sensibles et l'ecart maximal au niveau de la tumeur, ce qui permet de comparer les deux types d'optimisationAdditional details
