Description
Superconformal invariance in the Ashkin-Teller quantum chain is studied by analyzing the finite-size limit of the spectrum with periodic or antiperiodic boundary conditions. It is shown that the spectrum at three particular points on the critical line is N = 1 supersymmetric. Operator identifications in terms of an N = 1 superconformal theory are given. N = 2 superconformal invariance in the periodic gaussian model is also discussed. (orig.)
