Creators
Description
Problem of the dosimetry of ionizing radiation in medicine is presented in the form of a lecture. Stages of dosimetry development are considered. The notions of ionizing radiation, exposure dose, absorbed dose, dose equivalent and others used in radiation hygiene and nuclear medicine are explained. Special attention is paid to evaluation of spatial distribution of absorbed doses as well as to dosimetric devices applied for measurement of doses in radiotherapy and radiodiagnosis
